CHANGES to the way funds from Dorchester Market’s car boot sales are distributed have been backed by councillors.
West Dorset District Council’s executive committee agreed to change the name of the Dorchester Car Boot Charity Monies to the Dorchester Market Car Boot Fund, meaning it will be easier for community and voluntary groups that are not registered charities to get a share of the money.
It also agreed to change the grant application form to make it simpler to apply.
Last year the car boot sale raised more than £30,000 for local good causes.
