Power cut affects homes on Portland
POWER has been restored to homes on Portland after properties were plunged into darkness.
Around 50 customers are affected by a power cut in the Martinscroft Road and Grangecroft Road area at Weston.
The problem was reported at 8.30am this morning and it was discovered to be a fault in the underground network although it is not known at this stage what caused it.
Southern Electric said engineers have been on site since 11.30am.
Power was restored at 1.45pm.
A spokesman apologised for any inconvenience caused.
