A FLOOD alert has been issued for the West Dorset coast including Chiswell on Portland for the early hours of Tuesday.
The alert, from the Environment Agency, means that flooding is possible and residents should be prepared.
It comes after storms battered the coast in recent weeks.
The new alert covers Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Seatown, West Bay, Bothenhampton, Burton Freshwater, Burton Bradstock, Cogden Beach, Chesil Beach, West Fleet, East Fleet and Chiswell.
The Environment Agency said: "This Flood Alert particularly affects Chiswell and will remain in force for two hours following the time of high water.
"Due to the degraded state of the beach following the recent storms, a flood alert has been issued for tonight's tide.
"The time and date of the forecast high water for which this Flood Alert is in force is 1:45 am on 25/02/2014. The forecast wind direction is South West The forecast wind strength is Force 5."
