A CAR and a van collided on the Granby Industrial Estate in Weymouth.

Police were called to the smash between a grey Seat Leon and a Ford Tran 115 silver panel van on Hampshire Road close to the Albany Road junction at 10.42am this morning.

A man, who is not believed to have been seriously injured, was treated by paramedics at the scene.

Dorset Fire and Rescue also attended because smoke was reported to be coming from one of the vehicles.

The Vinci Facilities van involved is registered to a Cheshire firm.

Police officers controlled traffic unitl the vehicles were removed from the road.
