A WOMAN was injured in a crash on the A352 at Owermoigne.

Emergency services were alerted to a two car collision in Wareham Road near Owermoigne garage at around 10am.

The road was closed at the garage and at Warmwell Cross roundabout.

A woman was cut free from a Volkswagen Polo by the fire service.

The other vehicle involved was a Ford C-Max.

South Western Ambulance said a woman suffered neck, chest and knee injuries and was taken to Dorset County Hospital for treatment.

Dorset Police said it was a slight injury collision.

Dorset Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Weymouth and Dorchester attended.

A spokesman said: "Crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof and release one casualty from the vehicle.

"The casualty was placed onto a spinal board and ambulance paramedics took over their care."

"Fire crews made the vehicle and area safe, before leaving at around 11:30am."

The road was reopened at 11.40am.

I'm not so sure the patient on the spinal board would call it " A slight Injury Collision".
