A DORSET animal rescue centre has welcomed a £3,000 boost.
Margaret Green Animal Rescue’s Lincoln Farm Centre at Winterborne Kingston has received a grant to fund improvements to its rehoming centre which will help give dogs the best chance of finding a happy home.
The grant comes from Pedigree Brighter Futures, an initiative that assists rehoming centres by providing much needed grants and food, and also works to raise awareness of the UK’s issue of dog abandonment.
Margaret Green Animal Rescue’s charity manager, Caron Lane said: “We can now create an agility area with a sensory garden incorporated into which will make a tremendous difference to the mental and physical stimulation of the dogs in our care.
This year, Pedigree Brighter Futures has awarded more than £100,000 to members of the Association of Dog and Cats Homes.
