PUPILS were presented with a fire safety award at a special assembly.
Cheselbourne Village School was presented with the award during a special assembly by Dorset Fire and Rescue Service Crew Officer Pete Brown, in recognition of the work the students had done on fire safety and awareness.
Parents and families attended and children in Year’s 1 and 2 shared pictures and information from their recent trip to Sherborne Abbey, while Year 3 and 4 children showed PowerPoint presentations they had created relating to the dangers of fire.
The school was awarded the Gold Certificate for Fire Awareness for its safety work .
Headteacher Bob Duffin said: “We are really proud of all the children and hope that these important lessons keep everyone safe from fire.”
