WEYMOUTH lifeboat came to the rescue of three people this afternoon whose boat had broken down.
The inshore lifeboat was launched at 2pm and went to the aid of a motor cruiser which ran into problems not far from the entrance to Weymouth Harbour.
The lifeboat towed the stricken vessel to the town slipway at Commercial Road where a coastguard team were waiting to give advice.
