A NEWLY selected UKIP parliamentary candidate will be in Dorchester this weekend.
David Glossop was chosen as the party’s preferred candidate to stand for the West Dorset seat in next year’s Westminster elections following a closely contested hustings attended by 45 members this week.
At 11am on Saturday he will officially open the office of William Dartmouth MEP in the county town, which will also serve as the base for the new Dorchester UKIP branch to run its West Dorset campaign.
The campaign headquarters in South Street will be a base for local party activities where members will provide information to the public and offer a drop-in space for those wanting to discuss concerns about local or national matters and to find out ways to give support.
