THE GREEN Party’s European candidate for the South West held court at a public meeting in Dorchester.
Emily McIvor was the guest speaker at the meeting at the United Church organised by the West and South Dorset Green Party.
In her speech, which was followed by a lively discussion, she explained how the Green Party had many strong criticisms of the European Union but felt that it was in the interests of the British people to remain as a member.
In her closing remarks Ms McIvor said: “The Green Party needs only a small swing in its favour from the results in 2009 for at least one of its candidates to become a MEP.”
