A VISIT from Spiderman set the senses tingling for young patients at Dorset County Hospital.

The man behind the mask was Joe Meneghini-Relf as he and friend Adam Dicker came to hand over a cheque for funds they had raised for the Kingfisher Ward in memory of a popular Dorchester teenager.

Adam, Joe and friend Duncan Green, who all grew up in and around the Dorchester area, began working on their own comedy DVD featuring sketches, music video parodies in 2009.

However, when Nathan Cross – who like the trio attended the Thomas Hardye School – died at the age of 16 in January 2011 they decided to dedicate all funds raised in his memory and donate it to the Kingfisher Ward at Dorset County Hospital.

Adam said: “We knew Nathan so thought why are we doing this for nothing and thought we could do it for something worthwhile.”

When the DVD, called The Video of all Videos was completed the trio started selling copies at £3 per copy and managed to raise £200 for the Kingfisher Ward.

They are now working on a second production with The Video of All Videos 2 set to be released in the summer.

This time they will raise funds for the Make a Wish Foundation and are already on course to raise at least £400.

The new project will feature footage from daring challenges including a bungee jump Joe was due take on at Bristol over the weekend dressed as Spiderman.

Adam will also be taking on a skydive from 15,000 feet next month.

Adam said: “It’s just a brand of general silliness with things like eating challenges.

“It’s just us messing around, we have got spoofs of television shows, a bushtucker trial and a Thriller remake.”

Nathan's sister Becky said it was 'wonderful' to see that money was still being raised in her brother's name and that people were keeping his memory alive.

She added: "It's a magnificent feeling knowing how loved my brother was and still is."
