WITNESSES are being sought after a crash involving two cars in west Dorset.

Police said the collision on the A3066 outside the Half Moon Inn at Melplash near Bridport involved a silver Daihatsu Charade and a silver Vauxhall Astra. The driver of the Vauxhall Astra and the passengers in the Daihatsu Charade suffered minor injuries.

PC Sara Mackay of Bridport police said: “I am appealing for anyone with information about this incident to contact Dorset Police.

“I am particularly keen to talk to the driver of a black van, who wasn’t involved in the collision but may be able to provide some information.

“I would also like to hear from anyone else who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the collision itself.”

No arrests have been made.

Witnesses and anyone with information about the incident, which happened just before 1pm last Thursday should call Dorset Police on 101 quoting incident number 6:184.
