A MISSING Dorset man has been found safe and well at a hotel in Wales.

Police appealed for help yesterday to locate an elderly Dorset man who went missing yesterday afternoon.

Vincent Grey, 83, was last seen at approximately 4pm yesterday afternoon at his home address in Oakley Hill, Wimborne.

Mr Grey was described as a white man, who is five feet four inches tall, of stocky build with a round face and blue eyes.

He is balding with wisps of white hair at the sides of his head and speaks with a welsh accent.

When he was last seen, Mr Grey was wearing a blazer, a red and green checked shirt, dark blue trousers and light coloured boots.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Vincent Grey was found safe and well at 3am this morning at a hotel in Wales and police were alerted to his location by hotel staff.

“This followed an extensive search carried out by Dorset Police throughout the night which included Dorset Search and Rescue, wessex 4 x 4 response and a search helicopter.

“Dorset Police would like to thank all the volunteers that supported the search as well as members of the public and the media for their assistance.”
