JASON PAUL TURRELL, aged 43, of East Weare Road. Admitted stealing four packs of meat of an unknown value from a store in Trinity Street, Dorchester. Ordered to pay compensation of £20. Also admitted stealing a sandwich and a bottle of water to the value of £4 from a store in Kings Road, Dorchester. Ordered to pay compensation of £4.
MELINDA HILLIER, aged 48, of High Street, Fortuneswell. Found guilty in absence of using a colour television receiver without a licence. Fined £200 and ordered to pay costs of £120.
TOM HOBDEN, aged 51, of Ventnor Road. Found guilty in absence of using a colour television receiver without a licence. Fined £100.
THOMAS JASON JONES, aged 43, of Portland Marina, Hamm Beach Road. Found guilty of driving a motor vehicle after consuming so much alcohol the proportion in 100 millilitres of breath was 78 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. Fined £165 and ordered to pay costs of £400. Disqualified from holding a driving licence for 20 months.
DEREK WILLIAM ROSSALL, aged 34, of Woolcombe Road. Admitted assault by beating. Discharged conditionally for one year. Admitted seven counts of making off without payment. Discharged conditionally for three months.
STEPHEN STUART SHERWOOD, also known as STEPHEN MASTERS, aged 20, of HMP and YOI Portland. Admitted common assault. Committed to detention in a young offender institution for two weeks. Admitted assault by beating. Committed to detention in a young offender institution for four weeks, to be served consecutively. Overall length of sentence six weeks, to be served consecutively to existing sentence.
CHRISTOPHER JAMES GRAYSTON, aged 31, of Wakeham. Admitted driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence. Fined £50. Licence endorsed with three penalty points.
