Purbeck District Council has retained its Investors in People Award (IIP) for the third time.
Leader of Purbeck District Council, Councillor Gary Suttle, said: “Retaining this award clearly demonstrates the council’s commitment to its staff. “Excellent customer service can only be achieved by staff who are motivated, are properly trained and who are well-supported by their manager.
“The award is deserved recognition for the employees’ hard work and commitment, especially at a time when the council has faced financial challenges, uncertainty and change.”
The district council first achieved IIP status in 2008 and, as part of a reassessment process, staff were interviewed by an assessor.
The assessment also involved in-depth audits of the council’s processes.
