STEP into spring with a short walks programme by the Dorset Ramblers.

The independent club is affiliated to the Ramblers Association and aim to arrange a series of Sunday walks throughout the year in Dorset and neighbouring counties.

The walks vary between four and 10 miles and can be circular, arranged in a figure of eight or even linear.

There is also normally a pub lunch arranged with the occasional picnic in the summer.

Now into its second year, the Ramblers’ short walks programme offers the chance to get some gentle exercise.

The club was founded over 60 years ago, and has over 60 members.

This season’s walks are an 8.5 mile walk from Bowleaze Cove to Osmington on April 6, a five-mile walk from Pine Lodge Farm in Higher Bockhampton at 1pm on April 12, a Daggers Gate walk in West Lulworth on April 13 and a six-mile Stourpaine figure of eight walk via Turnworth and Durweston on April 27.
