SIXTY fines were issued to motorists around Weymouth for a variety of offences as part of a campaign to make roads safer.
Two days of action by police around the borough came as part of the No Excuse project.
No Excuse aims to improve driver behaviour through enforcement of offences which are likely to increase the risk of collision or which could result in more serious injuries or death.
A number of fines were given out and a vehicle was seized from a driver for having no insurance.
One of the specific roads targeting for speeding was the A353 at Osmington where officers monitored traffic for a half-hour period on the road which has a 30mph limit.
The average speed was 26mph and the fastest was 33mph.
Of the fines issued, 20 were given for seatbelt offences.
