HUNDREDS of people have been evacuated from Tower Park in Poole this afternoon.
Police are asking people to stay away from the leisure and retail venue for the next few hours as they deal with a suspected chemical spill.
Fire and ambulance services are at the scene and one person has been treated for minor injuries while a large number of visitors have had to be evacuated.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “Members of the public are asked to stay away for the next few hours unless they need to collect people from the site.”
The evacuation has caused traffic problems around the park as people try to leave and anyone who does come to collect somebody is asked by police to approach the site from the Mannings Heath end.
