Reed bed torched in suspected arson attack
AN AREA of reed beds has been set on fire in a suspected arson attack in Weymouth.
A fire crew was called to Radipole Park Drive shortly after 5pm this afternoon and found a small area of reed bed, around five square metres, was well alight.
They extinguished the blaze using a portable water pack and beaters.
A spokesman for the Dorset Fire and Rescue Service said that the fire was believed to have been started deliberately and Dorset Police had been informed.
