PUPILS can now do schoolwork on the move after 30 new laptops were installed at the Isle of Portland Aldridge Community Academy (IPACA).
Youngsters at the Southwell Campus will be able to use the Google Chromebooks to access resources and will benefit from a new superfast fibre optic broadband connection and wi-fi network, both of which were installed during the summer holidays.
Gary Spracklen, the director of digital learning and innovation at the academy, pictured with pupils, said: “A rich digital ethos is at the heart of the IPACA vision. The Chromebooks being deployed at Southwell Campus have been specifically set up to support primary teaching and learning.”
