SOUTH Dorset MP Richard Drax was grilled by Weymouth students on everything from his career to the most difficult issue he had ever voted on.

Pupils and staff at Holy Trinity Primary School welcomed Mr Drax into their school and members of the Junior Leadership Team gave Mr Drax a tour of the premises.

The School Council met Mr Drax and asked him a range of questions.

Subjects covered ranged from his most inspirational hero and life in the army to the most difficult issue that Mr Drax had ever had to vote upon.

After lunch Mr Drax was given a tour of the school’s environmental garden.

Finally Mr Drax started the Year Six pupils off on their annual sponsored run along the Rodwell Trail for Sport Relief. A school spokesman said: “It was a pleasure to have Richard Drax visit our school. The staff and pupils enjoyed welcoming him into their classes and having him start the sponsored run.”
