Molly Hayden, a postgraduate drama student from Weymouth, is going to Kenya later in the year to help a Younite Outreach Project’s orphanage in the slums of Nairobi.
She applied to the Catenian Central Bursary Fund, which does have funds to assist in such enterprises undertaken by Roman Catholic students and young people, but unfortunately she did not qualify for a grant because she fell just outside the age bracket. However, the Catenian Circle in Weymouth stepped in with a cheque for £100 towards the cost of Molly’s trip.
