NATIONAL Trust regional archaeologist Martin Papworth will be giving a guided walk to explore the historic landscape of the Golden Cap estate.
He will be leading the walk on Wednesday, April 16 at 10.30am, as part of the ‘Drawing Inspiration’ project, organised by Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), which encourages people to look at the landscape from a new perspective. Mr Papworth will be giving an insight into the past excavations on Golden Cap and talking about the hamlet of Stanton St Gabriel which dates back to 1086.
The walk costs £3 and places should be booked on 01297 489481 or email: westdorset@nationaltrust.org.uk
