DANCERS hope to inspire women to take part in North Dorset’s Race for Life this summer.
Members of the dance group Rachel Cozens Classes will be performing the Cancer Slam on Saturday outside BHS at the Quedam Centre in Yeovil from 2pm to 4pm to rally women to enter the Cancer Research UK fundraiser at Sherborne Castle on June 22.
Last year, 1,800 women took part in Race for Life in Sherborne and raised £99,000.
Organisers hope the Cancer Slam will get women to sign-up for Race for Life on the spot. The Cancer Slam will also be performed by thousands of women as part of the rousing warm-up at over 280 Race for Life events around the UK this summer. A video showing how the dance steps is online.
