WAREHAM mayor Cllr Malcolm Russell recently tried his hand at indoor skydiving for charity.

Cllr Russell took part in the activity at airkix in Basingstoke.

He said: “What a rush, most hair-raising experience since my parachuting days decades ago.”

The mayoress, Dawn Russell, also took part, saying: “It was a thoroughly spine-tingling and teeth-chattering preparation but once up and floating a sort of grin developed – here’s to the next time.”

Cllr Russell confessed: “I have to admit that the mayoress just happened to take her turn ahead of me.”
