TWO vehicles have been involved in a road traffic collision in Dorchester.

The incident, which involved a black Ford Fiesta and a blue Fiat Punto, took place on Old Sherborne Road near to the Piddletrenthide junction.

Dorset Fire and Rescue Service arrived at the scene with two fire engines just after 1pm, freeing a woman from a vehicle using hydraulic cutting equipment.

She was then taken by ambulance to Dorset County Hospital after she seemed to be struggling for breath.

West Dorset District Council were also at the scene after fluids appeared on the road.

Recovery was arranged for both vehicles.

obviously and assessment of the scene took place before the fire service were called, quite normal
