A woman was airlifted to hospital after suffering an attack of angina on Chesil Beach.
Portland Maritime Rescue and Co-ordination centre in Weymouth was alerted to the woman, who had collapsed whilst on the top of Chesil Beach, west of Abbotsbury car park, yesterday afternoon.
Angina is a heart condition and due to the inaccessible position the coastguards used Portland helicopter to airlift the woman to hospital.
The helicopter was met at the A&E department at Dorset County Hospital by Wyke Coastguard Rescue Officers.
