FIREFIGHTERS were called to a three-storey building in Dorchester this evening to rescue a trapped bird.
An appliance from Dorchester was called to High West Street at around 7.30pm.
A spokesperson for Dorset Fire and Rescue Service said: "It was a request from the RSPCA to attend a bird that was trapped in some netting in High West Street in Dorchester.
"It was a seagull that was released into the care of the RSPCA."
He added: "We only attend these incidents at the request of the RSPCA if they are deemed appropriate."
