THERE are still places available at upcoming events for local people affected by diabetes to try out glucose monitoring meters.
The events have been organised by NHS Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group as part of a review of existing arrangements and take place in Dorchester, Durweston and Poole.
Early identification and achievement of good glycaemic control – which means controlling the levels of blood sugar – and management of the side effects of diabetes will improve life expectancy and quality of life.
Events take place on April 29 at the Dorford Centre, Dorchester, May 6 at Durweston Hall, Durweston and on May 14 at Hamworthy Club, Poole.
Anyone interested in attending or wanting to find out more should contact Fiona Charles via 01305 213614 or fiona.charles@dorsetccg.nhs.uk
