IF you are looking for activities that will appeal to youngsters but will also be a delight for adults during the Easter holidays, you should choo-choo-choose Swanage Railway.

The station operates a heritage steam and diesel timetable offering visitors the chance to experience a journey on an old-fashioned train.

The service is suitable for both locals and tourists alike, with easy car parking at the northern terminus at Norden. The stations at Corfe Castle, Harman's Cross and Herston provide access to historic villages, country walks and the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, whilst also providing a valuable transport service.

The Southern Railway, combined with a trip to our southern terminus at the south coast seaside resort of Swanage, with easy access to the award-winning sandy beach, is perfect for enthusiasts and families alike. As well as the scenic journey from Swanage to Norden, the railway boasts a bumper set of activities to keep everyone entertained For those who have always wanted the chance to get behind a train’s controls, there is an opportunity to take charge of a steam train by taking one of the railway’s driver experience courses.

Not only is there the chance to see perfectly preserved steam trains in action, there are also children’s activities to keep them entertained.

This also includes a special loco-spotter guide, providing a check list of all the locomotives in action.
