FUNDRAISERS looking to create a new play area in Puddletown are laying on a feast of family entertainment.

A group was set up last year to explore a new community play park in the village and it is now holding its first fundraising event.

On Saturday, May 11 there will be a host of fun activities at the Recreation Ground in the village, including fete games, a bouncy castle, mobile skate park, face painting and live music.

There will also be a raffle and silent auction to raise funds for the project while there will also be ice cream, fish and chips, cakes and a bar available.

The Puddletown Playday will run from 2pm to 8pm with entry free of charge.

Rob Belbin, who is part of the group behind the Puddletown Community Play Park Project, said: “We are intending for this event to be a fantastic free to enter family day, which hopefully be good fun and raise a considerable amount of money for our new play park.”
