COASTGUARDS rescued a woman who fell whilst climbing on Portland on Sunday.

The woman from Gloucestershire, aged 30, had been climbing in an inaccessible position near Blacknor, and suffered a possible fracture to her leg.

A fellow climber reported the incident, which happened at around 7.39pm.

Coastguard helicopter R-106 airlifted her to Dorset County Hospital where she was met by South Western Ambulance and Wyke Coastguards.
