YOUNGSTERS from a Dorset branch of the Young Farmers Club are on a roll of literary success.
Josephine and Bethany Mitchell and Lucy Siebert, of Sherborne YFC, came second while representing Dorset at the South West area competition in Newquay.
Earlier in the year they won the reading competition hosted by Dorset Federation of Young Farmers at Kingston Maruward College where they read extracts from the Snow Merchant by Sam Gayton.
At the area competition they were up against clubs from Cornwall, Devon, Wiltshire, Somerset and Gloucestershire and read passages from Midnight for Charlie Bone by Jenny Nimmo.
The girls were judged on their clarity, diction and sense and expression.
They will now go on to compete at the national level of competition taking place in Staffordshire in July.
