BACK by popular demand it’s the Dorset Echo jobs fair.

Now in its fourth year, job seekers are invited to take part in the event at Weymouth on Wednesday May 14.

The jobs fair, which will see businesses from across the career spectrum on hand to offer advice to job hunters, will take place at the Ocean Room at Weymouth Pavilion.

The popular event saw hundreds of eager job seekers filing through the doors last year and it’s hoped this year’s event will be even bigger and better.

The fair was designed to bring employers and job seekers together and serves as a networking hub. At the jobs fair in the Pavilion, people can sign up for workshops on CV writing, interview skills and confidence building.

David McArthur, Wessex account manager for Jobcentre Plus, urged job seekers to come along and find out more at the jobs fair.

He said: “The Dorset Echo jobs fair gives jobseekers an excellent opportunity to talk with leading employers, agencies and training providers. There has been a positive upturn in the jobs market creating a wide range of employment and training opportunities throughout Dorset.

“This is the ideal forum to explore these opportunities in a face-to-face environment. Thousands of individuals have found a new job, developed their career or updated their skills through speaking to previous exhibitors.”

And it’s not too late for businesses looking to expand their teams to snap up a stall. Currently businesses attending range from engineering companies and those in the health sector to publishers and care teams.

Those already confirmed include: Avon Area 389, Bay Publishing, Best Training, Nurse Plus, Pursuit Training, UK Supported Living, RAF, St Jude’s Care, Essential Nursing, Altogether Care, DEK and DRH.
