MOTORISTS are facing lengthy travel delays after a mobile crane broke down on the A37 at Holywell near Evershot.

The incident happened at 4.10pm just before the Haydon Lane junction, when the vehicle, which was heading towards Dorchester on the A37, broke down. One lane of the road has been closed as recovery vehicles make their way to the scene.

A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “The incident happened at 4.10pm when a mobile crane driving towards Dorchester on the A37 broke down.

“Due to the positioning of the crane, it is a lengthy recovery and motorists are facing traffic delays.”
