A SERIES of events are being held in Weymouth and Dorchester to mark Christian Aid Week.

On Saturday, May 10 a sponsored walk will see fundraisers head from North Square in Dorchester to the River Jordan at Bowleaze in Weymouth and back, a distance of around 18 miles.

On the Sunday there will be a United Service at St Peter’s Church in the county town from 6.30pm with an address from national church project manager for Christian Aid Martin John Nicholls.

A Christian Aid Service will also be held on the same day at the Weymouth Bay Methodist Church.

On Wednesday, May 14 the United Church Hall in Dorchester will hold its annual market from 9.45am to 1.30pm.

Back in Weymouth on Saturday, May 17 there will be a collection running all day in the foyer of Asda.
