A CHEQUE for £1,300 was presented to the Friends of Dorset County Hospital by staff at the Co-operative store in Littlemoor.
The organisation was chosen as the store’s nominated charity, and both workers and customers at the store have contributed to the fundraising effort.
Money raised from a cake sale, a tombola and a book sale was pooled together before being donated to the charity.
Annette Kent, who is leading the fundraising effort for the Friends of Dorset County Hospital, said: “Each year the Friends hold a number of charitable events at the hospital in order to raise funds and this year is no exception.”
“The friends would like to thank the Co-operative and the local community for their terrific generosity.”
