Series of walks all set to boost cancer charities
A SERIES of sponsored walks will be taking place in Dorset this May to support two cancer charities.
Events are being held across the world to raise money for Cancer Research and Macmillan. World Walk was set up by UK mum Elaine Hammond, who has breast cancer, and the events aim to raise £20,000.
In Dorset, East Dorset Health Walk will be holding sponsored walks at Moors Valley Country Park today, Verwood on Tuesday, May 13, West Parley on Wednesday, May 14, West Moors on Thursday, May 15 and Verwood on Friday, May 16.
The entrance fee is £8 for adults and £4 for under-18s, with a minimum fundraising pledge of £50. For information, contact 07554 585508 or visit worldwalk.org.uk
