STAFF from a Dorset housing association have been showing their true colours for charity.

East Boro – which specialises in accommodation and support services for the elderly, adults with learning disabilities and other vulnerable client groups – held a Wear Your Footie to Work Day.

Staff at the company’s offices in Weymouth and Wimborne donned their favourite team colours in exchange for making a donation to the Faulkner Fund – a charity initiative set up in memory of former East Boro chairman Ray Faulkner.

Team colours on show included AFC Bournemouth, Arsenal, Tottenham Hostpur, Liverpool, Manchester United, Southampton and Brighton and Hove Albion.

National kits making an appearance ahead of this summer’s World Cup included England, South Africa and Italy.

Organiser Carrie Holmes said: “The Faulkner Fund helps East Boro tenants with severe financial problems to purchase everyday essentials like appliances, household items or even food.”
