THE Dorset Echo jobs fair was such a success for one Weymouth company that they are back this year.

Last year St Judes Care from Weymouth, took part in the Echo Jobs Fair and got new members of staff.

The company will be back at Wednesday’s event, looking for even more team members.

The event will take place at the Weymouth Pavilion Ocean Rooms and is designed to bring employers and jobseekers together and serves as a networking hub.

At the jobs fair people can sign up for workshops on CV writing, interview skills and confidence building to help them secure their dream job.

Julia Marston from St Judes Care said: “We got two brilliant employees out of it.”

She added that the company would be ‘delighted’ to get two or three more employees from the fair.

Mrs Marston said: “We are recruiting genuine people that want to get into a career in care.”

DRH will also be at the jobs fair, looking to recruit support workers.

HR advisor Lateefaht Sulaiman said: “We have been to other recruitment fairs and had a good response so we thought we’d do it again.”

She added they were looking for ‘warm, caring people’ to join their team.

And it’s not too late for businesses looking to expand their teams to snap up a stall. Businesses attending range from engineering companies and those in the health sector to publishers and care teams.

Those already confirmed include: Avon Area 389, Bay Publishing, Best Training, Nurse Plus, Pursuit Training, UK Supported Living, RAF, Essential Nursing, Altogether Care and DEK.
