Residents of Stourpaine had a fun-packed day of activities to help improve their community.
Families at Hod View enjoyed sunshine while taking part in a litter pick on the estate, resulting in filling six large bags with rubbish. Spectrum Housing Group provided a skip for residents to have a spring clear out and discard large unwanted household items.
Budding young gardeners helped Spectrum Housing Group Resident Involvement Officer Liz Baker and Community Investment Officer Tim Crawshaw to plant up the raised beds with edible plants including strawberries, broccoli and carrots.
In the afternoon, residents participating in the Growing Spaces project, joined in the plant swap and people went away with fruit, vegetables, herb plants and seeds to plant in their gardens.
