DORSET Police are appealing for witnesses after a quad bike was stolen in Weymouth.

The theft took place at about 4.30pm on Thursday, May 15, at Carlton Road North in the Melcombe Regis area of the town.

The quad bike, a white Quadzilla 350LX, was left parked outside a property on the road. The owner of the bike went inside the property and noticed it had gone when he looked out of the window about 10 minutes later.

Police Constable Billy Taylor, of Weymouth police, said: “I urge anyone who witnessed the theft or may have seen anything suspicious in the area at the time to come forward.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who knows of the whereabouts of the quad bike or has been offered such a bike in strange circumstances or for an unusually low price.

“Anyone with information about those responsible should contact Dorset Police.

“I would like to remind people to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police.”

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101, quoting incident number 15:329.
