A FIRST World War commemoration event will take people in Wool back in time.

The Wool Royal British Legion, pictured, is holding an open day on Saturday, June 7 with a host of entertainment lined up throughout the afternoon for the public.

There will be fun for all ages and people dressed in period costume as well as a First World War themed street party with refreshments for all children.

Youngsters are encouraged to get in the mood for the event by donning their own period costumes.

There will also be military vehicles on display on the day, a barbecue, cream teas, live music from a music hall singers, a children’s disco and a late night disco plus lots more.

Doors open at noon.
