MORE roadshows are lined up this week to inform residents about changes to bin collections.

The Recycle for Dorset collection service will start from October 13 in Weymouth and Portland and parts of West Dorset.

Residents who think the service shown in leaflets being delivered to homes will not meet their needs should contact the Dorset Waste Partnership by June 19.

The Recycle for Dorset service lets residents recycle more than before, including plastic bottles, pots, tubs and trays.

Food waste will be collected weekly using a 23-litre lockable bin and a 7-litre kitchen caddy. Recycling will be collected fortnightly using a larger wheelie bin and residents’ existing box, which will be for glass only. Rubbish will be collected fortnightly in a smaller wheelie bin.

Public roadshows are being held during May and June, with the next ones in the Weymouth area.

The next one is at the Park Centre in Weymouth on Wednesday followed by Littlemoor Co-op on May 30 and Weymouth Asda on May 31, all from 10am-1pm. It then moves onto Portland on June 3 and will be at the Brackenbury Centre from 5pm-8pm. See dorsetforyou.com/recyclingevents
