WILDLIFE in Dorset will benefit from unwanted pieces of art.

Pictures donated to Dorset Wildlife Trust are being exhibited in a two-week show and auctioned off for the charity.

Pieces donated so far include work by sculptor and artist David Nash who has exhibitions all over the world, and Maggie Hambling, who has work displayed in the National Portrait Gallery, the British Museum and the Tate Collection.

DWT Trustee Jo Davis said: “We want to invite members of the public to donate art that they might have bought in years gone by that has been languishing in the attic to Dorset Wildlife Trust’s Art Weeks event.”

The art will be displayed at the Kingcombe Centre, near Dorchester, from tomorrow to June 8.
