A TRAVEL company from Weymouth has raised £400 for the Weldmar HospiceCare Trust.

Crossways Travel, based in Weymouth, organise two Whist Holidays each year taking holidaymakers on short breaks all over the United Kingdom on coaches.

On the company’s most recent trip to Tenby, South Wales in April a grand raffle was held. Tickets for the raffle were sold at the holiday park where the holidaymakers were staying and the big draw happened on the last night of their stay.

The raffle was organised by one of the regular holidaymakers, Celia Browett, who visited the Joseph Weld Hospice to present a cheque worth £400 to Jon Panton, Weldmar’s Business Fundraiser.

Mr Panton said: “It’s nice to hear that everyone had such a great time on holiday, whilst raising money for Weldmar Hospicecare.

“I would like to thank everyone who took part and Crossways Travel for holding the raffle, on behalf of all at Weldmar.”

The next Whist Holiday to be organised by Crossways is to Eastbourne in early October and places are still currently available.
