THERE are still tickets available for some of the highlight events of this year’s Cerne Abbas Music Festival.

The evening concert on Saturday, June 14, which features Beethoven’s Septet in Flat Major for Wind and Strings, promises to be popular as does a varied lunchtime event on Sunday, June 15 with music from Poulenc, Ibert, Dvorak and Mozart.

The festival in St Mary’s Church runs from June 12 to June 15 and features the renowned Gaudier Ensemble.

It will also feature students from the Royal College of Music, who will perform with the Gaudier on the afternoon of Friday, June 13. There will also be a family concert at 11.30am on Saturday, June 14 that will introduce youngsters to the various instruments of the orchestra.
