An inflatable boat sparked an investigation to find its owner
An inflatable boat found near Portland sparked a search for its owner.
The 8ft inflatable boat was found at Smallmouth, Portland Harbour, at around 12.41pm on Monday and reported to Portland coastguard station on Weymouth Harbourside.
Portland Coastguard made investigations and were eventually able to contact the boat’s owner. He confirmed he was safe and well ashore.
