POLICE have released CCTV images in a bid to catch a thief.

Four radios and some fresh meat joints were taken from Waitrose in Christchurch at around 3.50pm on Thursday, May 1.

The offender entered the store carrying a Waitrose bag for life and selected two D.A.B sport radios worth £79.95 each.

He then moved into another aisle and placed the radios in his bag before returning to the display. After selecting further two radios he moved into a different aisle and placed them in his bag.

The offender also added some fresh meat joints to the bag before exiting the store without making any attempt to pay.

Police Constable Dave Williams, of Christchurch police, said: “I am now in a position to release a CCTV image of the suspect and am appealing for anyone who recognises him to contact police.

“He is described as white, has ginger hair and a well-manicured beard. He was wearing a distinctive leg cast on his right leg below the knee, which had adjustable velcro straps across the front, and covered his whole foot.

“All calls are treated in the strictest confidence.”
