A DORCHESTER teenager has been cleared of a charge of rape.
Michael Moors, of Cromwell Road, had been standing trial over an allegation that he raped a 16-year-old girl as she slept in June last year.
The 19-year-old denied the offence, telling jurors in the trial at Dorchester Crown Court that there had been consensual sexual activity between the two on the night in question but he had not had sexual intercourse with her while she slept.
The jury of four women and eight men returned a not guilty verdict.
